About
About IMC Report
An independent publication on integrated marketing communications: it explains the discipline, reports on the industry, lists the providers by a published method and publishes with its community.
What it is
Integrated marketing communications (IMC) is the practice of planning advertising, public relations, digital, social, content, email, events and every other channel so they tell one consistent story, each doing its own part. IMC Report is an independent publication about that work. It explains the discipline, reports on the industry, lists the platforms and agencies that serve it by a published method, and publishes with the people who practise it.
The five paths
Learn
Foundations, one primer per discipline, planning, measurement, martech and data, regulation and markets, with a source for every claim.
Match
Find your stack: describe your objective, disciplines, size, market and languages, and get a short, explained list of platforms. Find people through the helpers directory.
Compare
Platforms side by side: the short version first, the full matrix on demand.
Evaluate
Members' moderated experiences with platforms, as counts beside the facts, never as rankings.
Participate
Suggest a listing, correct a fact, add a source, share an experience, ask for help or offer it.
Who publishes it
A small editorial team writes, edits and moderates IMC Report. It owns no platform, agency or service it covers, has no partners and sells no placement. What the community sends is read by a moderator and checked against its sources before it changes anything, and accepted contributions are credited.
How we work
IMC Report follows published rules, and each can be checked:
- Editorial standards: what we cover, how we source it, how we use AI and how interests are declared.
- Corrections policy: how to tell us about an error, and how a correction is shown.
- Independence, ownership and funding: who owns the publication, how it is paid for, and why nobody can buy a listing, a score, a rank or coverage.
- Listing methodology: how platforms and agencies are listed, assessed against the six checks and placed in the landscape lists.
- How Find your stack ranks: every rule and weight the engine uses.
Write with us
Practitioners, researchers and members can correct the record, add sources and share what worked on Participate. To propose a piece, or a subject we should report on, write to the team. Contributors declare their interests, and every piece follows the same editorial standards.
Languages
Everything is written in English, French and Arabic. Where a translation is not ready yet, the English text is shown.
Our emblem
Four kinds of media, one message
The emblem is the PESO model that every marketer knows: four circles for the four kinds of media, set as one figure.
- Paid Media you buy, such as advertising and sponsorship.
- Earned What others say about you, such as press coverage, reviews and word of mouth.
- Shared What people pass on and discuss on social platforms and in communities.
- Owned The channels you run yourself, such as your site, newsletter and events.
- The centre Where all four overlap, they carry one message. That shared centre is integrated marketing communications, and it is what IMC Report reports on.
